Clean strawberry plants &
delicious fruit in North America

We provide propagators, growers, retailers and distributors with premium strawberry plants and top-shelf fruit to help support clean food production and food security in North America.

Production starting soon in North America

We are currently opening our first large-scale berry fruit and second plant production facility in Quebec, Canada to serve our North American customers. This location and the support of the Zone AgTech allows us to best serve the regional market while making use of the green energy and climate available in Quebec, both beneficial to growing indoors.

Our strawberries and young plants will be available to retailers and distributors in Quebec, the rest of Canada and on the East Coast of the US from Q1 2025.
Our strawberries

strawberries for retailers and distributors

Our high-quality Karima strawberries are grown year-round and pesticide-free in Canada using Totally Controlled Environment Agriculture (TCEA). This ensures consistent availability and excellent fruit quality, regardless of the season.

Karima strawberries are an everbearing variety with a juicy texture, sweet flavor, and long shelf life, making them ideal for retailers and appreciated by consumers.

strawberry plants for North American propagators and growers

As well as the fruit, we produce high-quality Karima plants for growers and plug plants for propagators in North America.

Using a state-of-the-art tissue culture process and totally controlled environment agriculture (TCEA) to give our strawberry plants optimal growth conditions, we reliably produce top grade plants.
Belgium & Europe

Rooted in Belgium, at the heart of strawberry knowledge

Vertiberry’s roots lie in Belgium where we’ve been researching and developing our own systems and growing methods since 2017, resulting in a fully integrated solution for berries and plants. Our team of agronomists there continuously improves our growing methods to reduce our production impact while improving the quality of our products.

The unique partnership we have with Italian breeding company Mattivi and their Mattivi Mexico office supports our vertically integrated approach to strawberry production.

Why TCEA?

Our plants get the ideal temperature, nutrient supply, light spectrum and more to grow fast and produce delicious strawberries.

No impact of climate

Growing indoors in a totally controlled environment means that the climate and seasons have no impact on the quality of the mother plants we produce.

Ideal conditions

Our plants get the ideal temperature, nutrient supply, light spectrum and more to grow fast and produce numerous, strong runners.

Residue-free plants

We produce our strawberry mother plants with no pesticides or herbicides, meaning no nasty residue.

The cleanest plants on the market

Our plants are grown in a coco coir mix, indoors, from plant material cultivated in a state-of-the-art tissue culture laboratory.
