Strawberry plug plants for propagators, year-round and on demand
We produce high quality Karima variety strawberry mother plug plants year-round and on demand for propagators in North America and Europe.
How do we do it year-round? We use a state-of-the-art tissue culture process and totally controlled environment agriculture (TCEA) to give our mother plants optimal growth conditions. Thanks to our process, we ensure that the young plants produced by our mother plants are of high quality, and reliably so.
The characteristics of our Karima plug plants include:
Vigorous growth: our plug plants are strong and healthy.
Disease resistance: they are resilient against common strawberry plant diseases.
Uniformity: the plants are consistent in size, shape, and quality, ensuring reliable runner production.
High runner output: they are capable of generating a large number of healthy runners.
Genetic purity: we produce our plug plants via tissue culture, which ensures the offspring retain traits specific to the Karima variety.
Karima strawberries
Why Karima?
The Karima strawberry plant variety produces juicy fruit with a fresh taste and sweet, delicious flavor. The fruits have a high brilliance and an excellent resistance to disease as well as a long shelf life, making them ideal for retailers and distributors - and much appreciated by consumers.
Our partnership with the Italian breeders of Mattivi have allowed us to build a vertically integrated approach to growing strawberry mother plug plants.
Mattivi are leading Italian berry breeders active in fruit production since 1975. They have pioneered a plant multiplication process in their state-of-the-art tissue culture laboratory which we have replicated, resulting in clean, healthy and high-quality mother plug plants.
Why TCEA?
Our plants get the ideal temperature, nutrient supply, light spectrum and more to grow fast and produce delicious strawberries.
